The things everyone asks first.

Where are my notes stored?

Only on your own computer, in a simple folder next to the app. Nothing is uploaded anywhere. You can export your whole book to one file and back it up wherever you like.

Do I need an account or subscription?

No account, no subscription. You buy it once, you get a license key by email, and it's yours.

How does the license work?

Your key activates MyNotebook on one Windows PC. Got a new computer? Use "Deactivate this PC" in the app (or contact support) and activate on the new one. A quick internet connection is needed only for that one activation step — after that the app works fully offline.

What happens to my notes if my license has a problem?

Nothing bad — ever. Your notes always stay readable, searchable, editable and exportable on your PC. A license issue only limits creating new chapters until it's sorted out. Your writing is never held hostage.

Can I get a refund?

Yes — within 14 days of purchase, no hard feelings. See the refund policy.

My PC broke / I reinstalled Windows. Am I locked out?

No. Contact support with your order email or license key and we'll free your license so you can activate again.

Does voice writing send my voice to the internet?

MyNotebook can also use Windows' own voice typing (Win + H), which follows your Windows privacy settings. The app itself never uploads your notes.
